Please note that when planning to rent the church for an event far into the future (18 months +) the charge will always be according to that year's price list, not the one at the time of booking.

Please note that Búðakirkja offers no other services that can be booked through the church; for example, an officiant, florist, photographer, videographer, decorations, accommodation etc.
Price list for renting Búðakirkja
Rental of Búðakirkja is in the hands of the church keeper and all inquiries should be sent

- Ceremonies in Búðakirkja church or on the church grounds

The church and grounds can be rented for one, two or three hours.

Please note that not everything is allowed in each timeslot
- One hour rent is 39.400 ISK
- Two hour rent is 44.900 ISK
- Three hour rent is 59.900 ISK

- Group visit in Búðakirkja is tailored to the guests each time.

Group reception and information guidance in Búðakirkja is under the supervision of the church keeper

The story of the church can be presented in Icelandic and/or English.

The price is adjusted to each group individually - minimum 25.000 ISK

- Visit in preperation for rent is 5.500 ISK

* Pre-visits for this fee are only available when it goes along with other events in the church. An additional fee has to be added if a staff member has to go to the church especially for the visit.

Terms and conditions
Búðakirkja reserves the right to cancel, or move bookings, e.g. due to unexpected activities in the church involving parishioners, the maintenance of the church, or other uncontrollable circumstances.
All rentals at the church are according to a conversation between the supervisor and the buyer and take place on the day and at the time agreed.
The buyer promises to obey to the church rules as stated on the website.
If the agreed time frame is not respected, Búðakirkja reserves the right to charge extra for the presence of the church warden, both at the time agreed upon and the real-time that the use takes place due to delay.
When booking the church, a confirmation fee is paid, which is non-refundable.
The final fee has to be paid at least 5 days prior to the booked date. Cancellations are refundable in full, with the exception of the confirmation fee, up to 5 days before the booked date, but half the fee is charged if cancelled later.
The seller promises the buyer full confidentiality regarding all information he provides in connection with the transaction. Information will not be passed on to third parties under any circumstances.
This agreement is in accordance with Icelandic law. If a case of any dispute, it shall be brought before the District Court of Vesturland Iceland.
